Marta Gili

Director of the Musée du Jeu de Paume

The art critic and curator Marta Gili was appointed at the head of the Jeu de Paume in 2006, prior to which she directed the photography and visual arts department of the La Caixa Foundation in Barcelona.
She has staged numerous exhibitions of historic and contemporary photography, including many for the photography and video collection of the Musée National d'Art Moderne in Paris, with works by Henri Cartier-Bresson and Diane Arbus, and among contemporary photographers Lorna Simpson, Aernout Mik, Gilian Wearing, Robert Frank and Sophie Riestelhuber.
